Ok now I'm into Bananas (: So here's my Banana page. Most Banana sites only ever show the fruiting stalk, and ignore the beauty of the rest of the plant. So I will put up pictures of whole plants, along with some close ups. Though at this time most of my plants are young, and some still in pots, but I'll add pictures as they grow. The pictures are very large so it may take a while to finish opening, depending on your browser. But if your like me, and you surf the net looking for Banana pics, you get frustrated finding whole Banana pictures the size of icons. Touch the photo's lightly for a caption. Some pictures look different than real life. For instance the un opened male bud in the third picture below appears blue in the photo, though the opened pedals inside look maroon. To the naked eye it all looks maroon with a white/bluish powder coating on the outsides. Banana flowers are often called an Inflorescence. Maybe it's why the camera flash picked it up. Or perhaps it's not an Ice Cream after all, as I purchased it locally and am not sure. Most of my Bananas I ordered from Stokes on the net, and have been very happy with them all.
